Your Privacy Matters
Road Rally is designed to collect as little information as possible. Your road-trip gameplay should stay private.
Information We Don't Ask You to Provide
Road Rally does not require an account, email address, phone number, location, contacts, messages, photos, or media access.
What Gets Stored on Your Device
Road Rally stores the information below locally on your device. Road Rally does not send player names, group data, or gameplay entries to our servers. RevenueCat purchase processing is described separately below. Your device or platform backup settings may still apply.
- Player names, avatars, and colors you configure.
- Saved passenger groups, game preferences, favorites, appearance, sound, haptic, onboarding, legal-acceptance, age-confirmation, and review-prompt settings.
- Active-game session metadata used to record an unfinished or interrupted game accurately.
- Recent game summaries, participant snapshots, outcomes, and scores.
- A bounded list of stable identifiers for recently shown bundled questions and prompts, used only on your device to reduce repeats. This list does not contain the prompt text, your answers, or other player responses.
- A cached Premium entitlement flag and original purchase date, when supplied, in protected local storage. Road Rally uses this as its last verified local state until it can recheck current entitlement through RevenueCat.
Optional Device and Browser Services
When you choose Read Aloud in Story Builder, Road Rally gives the bundled story starter and the story text entered by your group to the text-to-speech service selected by your device or browser so it can generate audio. Depending on the platform, voice, engine, and settings, that service may process the text on the device or send it to its provider. Road Rally's developer does not receive the story or generated audio through Read Aloud. Do not use Read Aloud for sensitive information; the platform, browser, or speech provider's terms and privacy settings govern that processing.
If you use your device keyboard's dictation feature to enter text, the keyboard, operating system, or its speech provider may process your voice under its own settings and privacy terms. Road Rally receives only the text that the keyboard inserts into the story field.
Analytics
Road Rally does not collect gameplay analytics or general usage telemetry. We do not receive player names, stories, answers, prompt text, license-plate entries, or a record of which games you play. RevenueCat processes purchase history for Premium functionality and purchase reporting or analytics, as described below. If Road Rally enables broader collection, we will update this policy before enabling it in a release.
Premium and Purchases
After you complete app setup, Apple or Google processes payments and Road Rally uses RevenueCat to verify purchase status and manage Premium access. RevenueCat and your platform's store may process an app-specific identifier, purchase history, store receipt or purchase token, product and transaction identifiers, purchase and entitlement status, last-seen time, device type, operating system, locale, and currency code for app functionality and purchase reporting or analytics. Road Rally does not receive or store your payment-card details. Their handling of purchase information is governed by their respective policies.
Children's Privacy
Road Rally is intended for users 13 and older. If you're under 13, do not continue app setup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Local Data, Backups, and Deletion
Deleting player or history data in Road Rally removes only the local data named by that control from the current installation. Reset Seen Questions & Prompts clears the locally stored bundled-content identifiers used to reduce repeats. Those controls do not clear Road Rally's protected local Premium cache. Operating-system app-data deletion or uninstall behavior varies by platform; backups or protected storage may retain or restore some local data.
The local Premium cache is not the store purchase record. Apple or Google and RevenueCat maintain purchase and entitlement records separately, so clearing local app data does not cancel a purchase, erase a store transaction, or delete a RevenueCat customer record.
You may email Road Rally support to ask about a RevenueCat customer record or available deletion options. If you choose this path, your email app sends your email address and message to support; Road Rally does not send them automatically. Road Rally uses an anonymous app-specific RevenueCat identifier and no Road Rally account, so an email address alone may not identify a matching record. We will review the request and explain available options, but this request path does not guarantee deletion. Apple and Google control their own purchase records under their policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. A material update will use a new policy version and require acceptance in the app before continued use.
